We have our Retro Remix Talent Show Auditions this week. We also have All County Rehearsal on Monday, No Basketball Practice this week, and Thursday, we have Cheerleading Practice. Just a reminder that we have a lot of happenings at school. 3rd grade parents - this is just a reminder that $3.50 is due for the purchase of your child’s recorder for Music class. Mr. Baines wanted me to remind parents that there will not be an All County Chorus Rehearsal this week, so no All County Chorus this week. Calling ALL Parents. January 22, 2025 Good Evening Bear Family - We hope that you enjoyed the snow today! Tomorrow is the first day of the new grading period, and we will have a remote learning day. This simply means that teachers will post an assignment for students to complete in Rooms. Teachers are providing Office Hours for students or parents that have questions in completing assignments. Students have 4 days to complete their work, in order to be counted present. All work will be posted in Rooms, and it can be completed without a device. If you have any questions, please contact your teacher through Rooms. On Friday, January 24, we will have a 2 HR Delay. Please note that students cannot be dropped off until 10:20 am. The tardy bell will ring at 11 am. All Candy Apple forms and cash money is due on Friday to the school. Please make sure that all sales are turned in early on Friday morning. 3rd Grade Parents - Please remember to send in $3.50 for your students' recorders. They will begin playing recorders on January 27th! We hope that you are well and staying warm in this cold weather. We look forward to seeing students in person on Friday, January 24 at 10:20 am. Thursday, January 23, 2025 will be a Remote Learning Day for all of Nash County Public Schools (NCPS). Remote learning assignments may be accessed through Canvas, Google Classroom or other communication from your child’s teachers or principal. Office hours will also be offered by teachers if permissible. Please look for detailed information in Rooms and/or your student’s learning management system. NCPS has procedures in place to ensure students are not negatively affected if they are unable to complete tasks due to a lack of technology, power, or other challenges. If you have any questions, please contact your student’s teacher(s). Friday, January 24, 2025: All NCPS schools will operate on a two-hour delay due to the potential for icy road conditions. Breakfast will be available at schools. Students may be dropped off 40 minutes prior to the start of their school day. A special thank you to students at North Carolina Wesleyan University (NCWU) for spending the morning today by beautifying our campus. When our Englewood students return on Thursday, we have new volleyball and soccer nets on our big playground, as well as mulch around our signs and in some flower beds. Thank you to Mr. Elliott Smith for his leadership with this community endeavor.
