Friday is a Workday - No School for Students. Just a reminder that all items in the Lost and Found need to be claimed by Thursday of this week. All items will be donated to a local thrift store after January 16th. Next week - No School Jan 20 - 22 due to the MLK Holiday and Workdays. Report Cards go home on January 24.

Good Morning Bear Family! Wanted to remind you all that Candy Apple Sales have begun. Order forms should of come home on Monday January 6th. Sales are cash only and due back at school no later than January 23. Orders must be turned in on the 23rd. Teachers will have workday's on January 17, 21, and 22. If you are ready to turn in your forms those days you can drop them off with the front office.

Nash County Public Schools will operate on an early release schedule Friday, Jan. 10, 2025, as follows:
All Elementary Schools will be released early at 2:00 p.m.
All Middle Schools and Tar River Academy will be released early at 2:30 p.m.
All traditional High Schools will be released early at 1:30 p.m.
CITI High School and Early College High School will be released early at 11:30 a.m
All exams will continue as planned.
All after-school activities and events are canceled due to the weather forecast. This decision, made with guidance from emergency officials, prioritizes the safety of our students, staff, and school communities.

The Boys Basketball Team will have practice this week on Tuesday and Thursday.

Due to the forecast of below-freezing conditions and the potential for today’s precipitation to freeze on roadways, Nash County Public Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for staff and students on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Essential personnel should report at their regular time, provided it is safe to do so.
Breakfast will be available at schools. Students may be dropped off 40 minutes prior to the start of their school day.
Thank you for your understanding. Please stay safe in this weather. For any inquiries, contact your respective school. All after-school activities and athletic programs will proceed as usual.

Our Annual Hot Chocolate Night returns December 19, 2024. Join us for an evening of Hot Chocolate, Book Fair shopping, pictures for sale with Beary, and a performance by our Glee Club & some staff members.


We are gearing up for our last week before the holiday season. We have a busy week ahead for this week. We are continuing our Holiday Spirit Month that will conclude on December 20, if your student chooses to participate.. We have our Kindergarten dental screening for Thursday, December 19 at 9 am. If you do not want your child to participate, please send in a note for the nurse. Also on Thursday, we have our Hot Chocolate Night, along with Glee Club performances, Pictures with Beary, and Book Fair Shopping. The event is from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm. We will begin with a PTA Meeting at 5:30 pm, then move into the singing portion. Bring money for book fair shopping and pictures with Beary. This is a cash only event.
