Good evening Red Oak Family!
I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend! Here are a few reminders for week two.
Please continue to assist us with the car line process. Things are going very well and will continue to improve. A big thanks to all families that are following our simple procedures. As a reminder, no one should be parking across the street and walking onto campus.
Athletic teams have been selected and practices will continue this week. There will be a Mandatory Student-Parent Sportsmanship Meeting tomorrow night at 6:30pm in the gym. Football has the Jamboree Wednesday @ Nash Central Middle School.
We will administer the Beginning of the Year Exact Path Math and Reading diagnostic assessments this week. Please ensure that students bring their devices and that they are charged.
Have an excellent week!

Good day Red Oak Family!
This message is focused on the Red Oak Middle School Car Line. As you know, the car line is long during both morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up sessions. I have to be blunt and say simply that ALL families choosing to drive their children to school must get into and follow the car line in its entirety. No one should be attempting to cut the line, no one should be getting out of their vehicles, and no one should be driving at excessive speeds while on campus. Furthermore, no one associated with Red Oak Middle should be parking at Ennis Park, the Fire Station, or at Faulkner's and walking across Red Oak-Battleboro Road with or without adult supervision. This is simply unsafe and not something I endorse or condone. There seems to be an idea floating around that this is ok, but it is not. As I have stated in the past, the car line is long and patience is needed. Families must follow the established processes in order to maintain safety. My number one priority is student and staff safety.

Good evening Red Oak Family!
Tomorrow is the first day of the 2024-25 school year. We anticipate another excellent year! Here are a few reminders:
Students may enter the school at 7:50am. Please enter the carline through the yellow gate across from the park. Do not cut the carline by entering through the main entrance. The carline is long, so your patience is appreciated in order to keep everyone safe.
In athletics, Soccer tryouts will begin tomorrow afternoon. Cheerleading, Tennis, and Volleyball will begin tryouts on Tuesday. Please ensure all student-athletes are registered in Final Forms, have an updated physical on file, and are academically eligible.
We look forward to serving your child and to become the highest performing school in the district.
Have an excellent week!
