This is your chance to showcase creativity, teamwork, and show appreciation for black history and culture. The theme will be Black History: Past, present, and future. · If you did not receive my email last Friday, this is a reminder that we are working to correct absences erroneously recorded during the Remote Learning Days last week. This was not intentional, and we apologize for any confusion caused. We anticipate having this resolved by the end of the day on January 28th.
· The Class of 2027 is planning ahead for their senior trip and will have a Spirit Night Fundraiser at the Panda Express in Rocky Mount on January 30th from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Details can be found on our school website.
· As of this recording, all buses are scheduled to run their routes in the morning.

Parent Application Night Parents of scholars interested in enrolling in Early College High School for the 2025-2026 school year are invited to join us on Thursday, February 6, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. This event is specifically for potential 9th and 10th graders in the 2025-2026 school year. On January 31st, you will report to your AVID class at 9:15am to do attendance and receive a wristband if you pre-ordered refreshments.
Once all pre-purchased food is served, others may purchase refreshments but there is a chance we will run out so be sure to pre-purchase your refreshments from your AVID teacher.

Please be advised that Nash Community College will have a delayed opening on Thursday, January 23, and will open at 10:00 AM.

NCPS has procedures in place to ensure students are not negatively affected if they are unable to complete tasks due to a lack of technology, power, or other challenges. If you have any questions, please contact your student’s teacher(s).
Friday, January 24, 2025: All NCPS schools will operate on a two-hour delay due to the potential for icy road conditions. Breakfast will be available at schools. Students may be dropped off 40 minutes prior to the start of their school day. Essential personnel should report at their regular time, provided it is safe to do so.

Due to pending inclement weather, Nash CC will be closed tomorrow, January 22. Students should contact their instructors for in-person classes for what may be required for the day. Students in virtual classes should check with their instructor to see if classes will still meet. Scheduled events are canceled. The college will continue to monitor weather conditions for Thursday, January 23. We encourage individuals to stay tuned to weather updates and to proceed with caution.

Per the announcement by NCPS, the Early College HS will have a remote learning day tomorrow. Our teachers have made class work available online, and scholars must complete assigned work in order to be counted as "Present" for the class period. Additionally, each classroom teacher will have a link for virtual office hours that scholars may access if they have any questions.
