Good evening, Eagle Families! This is Principal McGeachy with this week’s updates.
- EOC testing begins on Dec. 15th, and scholars enrolled in EOC classes will take benchmark assessments Monday through Wednesday of this week. The results of these and other assessments will allow teachers to provide instruction tailored to the individual needs of each scholar as they prepare them for the EOC test.
- We recognize that our scholars face pressure during this time of the year. Our school counselor, Mrs. Sweet, has coordinated to have “Duke,” a therapy dog, visit our campus on Friday, Dec. 8th. Meeting with “Duke” is completely optional, and those scholars who want to visit him will be escorted to the room where he will be kept for the day. If you have questions, please feel free to contact me at the school.
- Lastly, beginning January 1, 2024, all NC public schools must adopt an “Opt-in” model release form that allows the school to use pictures and videos of students. The release form will be located in Rooms, so it is important that all Eagle families can access the app and that updated email addresses are on file. More information will be provided in the upcoming weeks. As always, I encourage you to visit our web page to remain informed of upcoming events. Enjoy your evening!
