Good Evening Bear Family - We hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend. We are excited for the week ahead. We have our EES Spelling Bee on Friday, as well as the Great Beary Turkey Race on Friday. The following week, we have our Book Fair on December 11-15. We will have a PTA Hot Chocolate Night/Book Fair and Winter Concert on December 14 at 6 pm. You can shop for the Book Fair from 5:30 - 6:00 pm. December 20 and 21 are Early Release Days. Our Winter Break is December 22 - January 5. Our Picture Day is January 16, 2024. We look forward to this week at Englewood. And as always, Go Bears!

This coming week, we have Allen Wolfe coming to the school for an Author Visit, and we have our 3rd grade Field Trip to Imagination Station. Our district has a CTE Showcase to introduce careers and college courses to students of all ages. This is a free event at Nash Community College - Brown Auditorium on Tuesday, November 28th from 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm. We look forward to the next few weeks of teaching and learning before our Winter Break. Monday night, we have a Native American Celebration at 6 pm with our Glee Club performing, as well as a PTA Meeting in the Multipurpose Room. We have school on Monday and Tuesday; our Thanksgiving Break begins Wednesday through Friday. We return to school again on Monday, November 27. Those missing coats/jackets, lunchboxes, etc... should check the lost&found. Students pass by this at least once a week on the way to specials. They are welcome to check the lost and found for coats/jackets and other items. Please make sure your child checks lost and found. Eventually the lost&found coats/jackets are donated.

Internet Update: At approximately 11:50 a.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, a fiber line was cut between Raleigh and Rocky Mount, leading to an interruption in internet and phone services for all NCPS . As of 1:23 p.m., we are pleased to report that all internet and phone lines have been successfully restored. We are grateful for your patience and understanding during this disruption. Thank you! NCPS
