Principal - Dr. Allen M. Wilson

I am honored to serve as the principal of Southern Nash Middle School. Returning to SNMS is especially meaningful to me, as I am both a former student and a former teacher of this school. Serving as principal represents a full-circle moment in my educational journey and a deep personal commitment to the students, staff, families, and community I now have the privilege to serve.

I bring more than a decade of experience in education. Prior to joining Southern Nash Middle School, I served as principal of Bailey Elementary School for two years and most recently as principal of G.R. Edwards Elementary School for two years. Before becoming a school administrator, I began my career teaching science here at Southern Nash Middle School while also serving as the boys' golf coach at Southern Nash High School. These experiences have shaped my passion for student success, relationship-building, and creating positive school cultures where every student can thrive.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from North Carolina Wesleyan University, a Master of Arts in Executive Leadership, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Gardner-Webb University. I believe that learning is a lifelong journey, and I strive to model that commitment for our students and staff each day.

This year, our work will be grounded in the "Power of One," inspired by our school motto: "One Team, One Goal, No Limits." Together, we will focus on what it means to operate as one unified team, aligned around a shared goal, and committed to removing limits on what our students can achieve. Through this collective focus, we will continue to build a culture of excellence, ownership, and high expectations for every member of our school community.

I am committed to building upon the strong tradition of excellence at Southern Nash Middle School while working collaboratively with our students, staff, families, and community to reach even greater heights. Together, we will ensure that every student is prepared for success in school and beyond.
